Question H Flyer Transcription

This election, Vote Yes on Question H to restore local control of the Baltimore Police Department. Did you know that Baltimore City is the only municipality in Maryland that does not control it’s own police department? As a result, state officials who are not accountable to City residents can alter legislation regulating BPD  policy.

On November 8th, City Voters will have the opportunity to Vote for Question H to make the Baltimore Police Department a city agency. Passing Question H will make BPD a City agency, set the City on a path toward local oversight, and give residents an active and engaged role in the future of local control. Passing Question H will not violate the Federal Consent Decree, affect Baltimore’s compliance with the Police Accountability Act of 2021, or change BPD’s budget or cost residents more money.
