Mayor Brandon M. Scott, Police Commissioner Richard Worley, and City Solicitor Ebony Thompson announced that the City filed a joint motion with the United States Department of Justice ("DOJ") on Friday, December 13, 2024, requesting that the United States District Court for the District of Maryland find the City in full and effective compliance with three additional sections of the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) Consent Decree: First Amendment, Baltimore City School Police and the Community Oversight Task Force.

Through the Connect Baltimore Broadband Grant Program, Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Office of Broadband and Digital Equity—a division of the Baltimore City Office of Information and Technology—have awarded Waves a $2 million grant as part of the Scott Administration’s efforts to improve internet access, adoption, and utilization in underserved neighborhoods.
