FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BALTIMORE, MD (Friday, February 5, 2021) — Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott and Health Commissioner Dr. Letitia Dzirasa announced the launch of a new COVID-19 Vaccine Dashboard as a resource for city residents looking for more information on Baltimore’s vaccination progress. This dashboard provides public transparency around vaccinations occurring across Baltimore City as vaccination efforts continue.

“This new dashboard gives residents a transparent look into the city’s vaccination efforts in real time,” said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. “With ongoing concerns regarding the State’s vaccination plan, this dashboard shines a light on Baltimore’s allocations, including where they are going, who they are going to, and what percentage of residents are receiving these doses versus those outside of the city’s jurisdiction. We will continue to work tirelessly with our partners at the state and federal level to increase the amount of vaccine coming into the City,  and work with our medical partners to increase equitable access and distribution in Baltimore.”

The City’s main priority remains swift, efficient and equitable distribution of vaccine. As of today, the Baltimore City Health Department has provided 7,940 first doses and 615 second doses, for a total of 8,555 doses.

In total, 43,829 Baltimore City residents, or 7.4% of the city’s population have received their first dose vaccination, and 15,046 have received their second dose. Baltimore City is currently only distributing second doses of the vaccine at this time.

“The new dashboard will help provide residents with a view into how the vaccine is being distributed,” Health Commissioner Dr. Dzirasa said. “It helps ensure transparency in where we are in the vaccination process, so that residents have up to date information on this historic rollout.”

All city residents and employees are encouraged to visit the Baltimore City Vaccine Dashboard.
