This application is for consideration to be appointed to the Trauma Informed Care Taskforce. The task force will operate out of the Mayor’s office of Children and Family Success, which was established by Mayor Young in 2019. The task force is charged with guiding the implementation of this legislation, providing oversight, guidance, and consultation to help Baltimore become a trauma-responsive city. Appointed members serve for a term of 4 years. See below for a breakdown of the 28 appointees. If you fall under one or more of the following designations, we invite you to apply. The Trauma Informed Care Taskforce is looking to appoint:

• 4 youth representatives from a youth-led advocacy group in Baltimore City
• 2 individuals with at least one child enrolled in the Baltimore City Public School system
• 2 licensed clinicians with an expertise in trauma and healing
• 2 members of the research community with an expertise in trauma and healing
• 2 representatives of an organization with an explicit focus on racial equity in its organizational mission statement
• 1 individual between 14 and 25 years of age
• 1 individual licensed to practice in the state of Maryland as a physician with a specialty in pediatrics
• 1 representative of an organization with an explicit focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) advocacy in its organizational mission statement
• 1 naturalized citizen or a resident alien
• 1 individual who has recently exited from the Maryland correctional system
• 1 employee of the Baltimore City Public School system
• 6 representatives from community organizations, nonprofit organizations, or youth organizations that have an expertise in trauma and healing
• 2 individuals licensed to practice in the state of Maryland as social workers
• 1 City Councilmember
