BALTIMORE, MD (Friday, March 14, 2025) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott's annual youth summit took place in honor of Women's History Month. The highly anticipated LeadHership Summit at the Baltimore Convention Center brought together over 200 young women from across the City of Baltimore for a dynamic day of empowerment, mentorship, and health and wellness.

This transformative event featured a series of breakout sessions, a live Q&A, access to valuable resources and professionals, food, a live DJ, giveaways, and more. The summit was designed to inspire and equip the next generation of women leaders in Baltimore by providing them with the tools they needed to succeed in school, their communities, and beyond.

"In celebration of Women's History Month, the LeadHerShip Summit brought together over 250 girls from all across the City of Baltimore. We are thrilled to continue investing in the bright futures of the next generation of female leaders. Through the transformative power of mentorship and opportunity, the LeadHerShip Summit helped ensure that every girl had the tools, support, and belief in herself to make history of her own," said Dr. Debra Brooks, Executive Director, Mayor's Office of Children and Family Success.

"I'm thrilled to welcome so many bright, ambitious young women to the LeadHership Summit. This event was a powerful opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together as we worked toward building a more equitable and inclusive future for our city," said Mayor Brandon M. Scott.

Participants had access to critical resources aimed at fostering their personal and professional growth. The day included breakout sessions with professionals who shared their experiences, insights, and advice on health and wellness, entrepreneurship, career advancement, and overcoming challenges.

The LeadHership Summit was a free event and open to young women between the ages of 13 and 18 who lived in the City of Baltimore. In addition to gaining valuable knowledge, registered attendees engaged with local mentoring programs that offered them ongoing support for achieving their goals and the confidence to become powerful change-makers in their communities.
