FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BALTIMORE, MD (Wednesday, January 8, 2025) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott released his 2025 Legislative Priorities ahead of this year's General Assembly, which will convene today January 8, 2025.

"As we look towards this year's legislative session, Baltimore is poised to build on the progress we're making and take even greater steps towards building our city's renaissance," said Mayor Brandon M. Scott. "This year, our legislative priorities continue to pursue my administration's overarching goal of overcoming the decades of intentional disinvestment our neighborhoods have faced and tackling Baltimore's most-intractable problems. Whether it be our advocacy for a share of local sales tax, to crack down on illegal dumping, or to expand the tools at our disposal to tackle the opioid crisis - these legislative priorities will help advance our work on behalf of all Baltimoreans."

Mayor Scott's legislative priorities document can be found here.

In addition to the legislative priorities included in this list, Mayor Scott will join other Baltimore-area local officials in support of various capital projects, as well as region-wide and city specific advocacy in budget discussions as the State navigates a significant budget deficit..
