  3. Ask - Youth agree to go to center?
  4. Call supervisor for driving team deployment

Baltimore Police Department

  1. Engage with youth
  2. Assess - Concerns about neglect/abuse
  3. Ask - Youth agree to go to center?
  4. Call supervisor for driving team (non-law enforcement) deployment

Engagement Center Transportation Staff

Post-curfew offsite engagement

  1. Team arrives and/or identifies the need for curfew engagement
  2. Social worker and peer ambassador engage
  3. Ask - Youth agree to go to center?
  4. Discuss what youth can expect around security and engagement
  5. Document attempt

Onsite cross-functional engagement center staff

Post-curfew onsite engagement

All staff will be trained and have a background check

  1. Child/Youth arrives at center
  2. Child routed to staff member who checks systems for legal/parent guardian information and initiates contact
  3. Conduct initial screening and enter data on child/youth input onto iPad
  4. Route child/youth to age-appropriate location within facility
  5. Emergency contact made

PICK-UP

  1. Capture picture of photo identification/input of information on iPad, and retrieval of child/youth

PARENT/GUARDIAN

Pick-Up

  1. Arrival, identification of child/youth
  2. Parent/Guardian must provide valid ID
  3. Sign out child on iPad
  4. Departure
