Acting Chief Information Officer, MOIT
Evette Munro is a proven Health Care IT and Public Service business and Technology strategist with over 30 years of experience in increasing operational efficiencies, controlling project costs/time-frames, and implementing/maintaining technology initiatives to support business objectives.
Prior to her assignment, Ms Munro served as Acting Chief Information Officer, she served as MOIT’s Deputy Chief Information since November 2015.
She brings a wealth of executive and leadership experience to the City of Baltimore, having previously served as Chief Information Officer of several organizations—including McKesson, Destiny Health, Health Management Systems, and the Federal Department of Health and Humans Services, Department of Aging.
Ms. Munro's expertise includes systems analysis, strategy definition, product development, project management, due diligence, budget management, organizational turnaround strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational realignment. She has significant exposure to the international health care space including change in international and national Technology changes. Ms. Munro is well versed in outsourcing and developing business relationships with international countries and other external entities.
She has also been responsible for the strategy and development of Affordable Care Act implementations, Clinical integration, Health Information Management, and Meaningful Use. Ms. Munro also has a strong tenure in the financial and banking industry and the public sector industry.
Ms. Munro holds an MBA in information Technology, a BA in Economics, and an Associates in Applied Technology.
