2019 Baltimore City Hall Pride Month Reception

Baltimore City LGBTQ Affairs and the Baltimore City LGBTQ Commission are pleased to host the community for a special kick-off celebration of LGBTQ Pride Month 2019.

Our theme, Honoring Trans Leadership, urges our city to recognize the often under-celebrated, yet crucial contributions transgender people have made to the movement towards LGBTQ liberation, and in all people's every day lives. This year's Pride Month commemorates 50 years since the Stonewall Riots, one of the most important rising actions of the LGBTQ community. We have trans and gender nonconforming people to thank for the sacrifices they made that night, the sacrifices they continue to make today, and for Pride itself. This year, we will honor trans leadership throughout history, and throughout Baltimore, all of whom are helping our city to #bmoreinclusive.

All ages welcome. This is an alcohol-free event. Light refreshments will be served. If you have any questions, feel free to email Jabari Lyles, LGBTQ Affairs Liaison in the Mayor's Office at baltcitylgbtq@gmail.com.
